This and That

It has been awhile since I last updated the blog so I thought it was about time!  Nothing huge has been going on with us, but I know everyone would want to see updated pictures of Connor and hear all the amazing things he is doing.

Connor is now 13 months old and he is keeping us busy!  He has been walking for 3 months now and he is getting quite quick.  He loves being chased, exploring the backyard, and just being a boy!  His most recent word was 'yea' after he found the toy he was searching for under our good friend, Shelby's hand.  Since Connor is half Collar it was only natural for him to be neat and tidy.  He loves helping me vacuum, cleaning up the table after he eats, and lucky for me putting away his toys!

We have an annual membership to the zoo, so we try to go as often as the weather allows us.  This was our most recent trip and it was a lot more fun because Connor was more interested in the animals and now that he is walking it is much more fun for him!

Monkey Biziness is a local, indoor playground that we enjoy visiting often.  Greg finally was able to go with us and he had just as much fun as Connor on the 17 foot inflatable slide!

Connor loves his books and luckily he has a lot!  We have two huge baskets full of them under our end table so he can easily 'read' to himself or of course let us read to him!

Since Connor is now 1 he can be in a big boy carseat.  While Greg was figuring out all the ins and outs of the new carseat Connor found the box much more fun!

The boys are so good with Connor and he loves them so much.  He now plays fetch with them, pets them, and loves having them chase him around the house.

Recently we bought bikes for Greg and I along with a carrier for Connor.  It has been a great workout for me as I'm towing him behind my bike.  We have had amazing weather lately so going for a nice bike ride with a stop at the park has happened several days this past week!

Connor's First Birthday and Baptism

Connor's first birthday was last Friday and he was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents and his godparents present for his big day.

Connor loved the beach while we were in California, so what makes more sense than to have a beach party in January!  Greg and I decided to make Connor a sandcastle cake for his birthday!

Connor absolutely loves balloons so of course we had to get him plenty for his birthday!

During the party we put the dogs in the basement and they wanted to be a part of the party very badly.  Here are each of the dogs peering through the cat door.

All the fun we had!

Connor enjoying his birthday cupcake.  He wasn't so sure about it until I gave him a little taste of it.  The funny part was he wouldn't touch the cake, but he loved it so I guess that made a good birthday!

Opening presents.

We also celebrated Connor's baptism this past weekend.  Here is the all dressed up Connor kissing his new stuffed puppy from his Aunt Shannon and Uncle Jason.

Connor was a trooper during the service and baptism.  Here is our family and his godparents, Aunt Lea and Uncle Matt.

All of us celebrating a great weekend!

The Stock Show

Last weekend Greg, Connor, and I went to the stock show.  We were excited to see Connor around all these animals and he really had a good time!

CSU was there and they brought Cam, the Ram, so of course we had to get a picture of Connor with him.  Cam actually was a little scared of Cam but we were able to get this picture first!

The petting zoo was the highlight of the trip and at first Connor wasn't so sure about the animals, but by the end he was loving all of them!

He even liked animals five times the size of him!

Trip to Dallas

This past weekend Connor and I went to Dallas to see my parents, go to my best friend Erin's bridal shower, and hang out with friends.  We had a great time but it was too bad Greg couldn't join us.

Nana and Connor.

My brother, Matt, and sister-in-law, Lea have two dogs, Morgan and Fenway, and they weren't too sure about Connor so unfortunately they spent a lot of time behind this fence while we were there.

Uncle Matt and Connor.

My best friend, Jenny, from high school also came by and she and her husband brought their son Will for a play date.  Will is 6 weeks older than Connor and they really had a good time together!

The main reason I came into town was for my best friend, Erin's bridal shower.  I was so glad I was able to come to her shower, it was a lot of fun!  Here is Erin opening her snuggies for her dogs, she loved it!

Connor All Over the House and New Years Eve

Greg put him in the sink in our bathroom and he loves it, perfect size for him!

The boys are all growing more attached to Connor and I just thought this was priceless.

We were all hanging out in the basement and Connor climbed up on this chair all by himself, he is getting into more and more!

He also climbed into this chest, such a boy!

For New Years Eve we kept it simple by hanging out with our good friends Erik and Shelby.  We played some games, the Wii, and enjoyed some champagne!  Greg and I made it way past midnight, 1:30 a.m., we were both impressed given our normal night ends at 10:00 p.m.

I thought this picture was great, watching people play the Wii is almost more fun than playing yourself!
