Connor's 2nd Birthday

Our little man turned 2 on Saturday and we still can't believe how fast the time has gone. My parents arrived Friday for the weekend celebration! Saturday was his actual birthday and that was the day we partied! Just as he did last year, he loved the balloons we got and had a lot of fun with them before the party started!

The happy 2 year old ready to party!

He is really into trucks right now, so we had a truck themed party! Greg and I made a dump truck cake, which turned out pretty good if we say so ourselves! Connor had a special "construction cone" cup which he enjoyed.

He was a little shy while we sang Happy Birthday to him, but was very excited about blowing out his candle. He has been practicing for weeks and did a great job, first try!

We had construction cone hats for all the kids but I think the adults had more fun with them! Here is a picture of all the guys from the soccer team and their wives.

Happy Connor with happy Nana and Papa!

Even our boys got to wear the cone hats!

Connor actually didn't open his presents until the next morning. He got a lot of really nice things and has enjoyed playing with his new toys already!

Thanks to everyone who was a part of Connor's 2nd birthday, it was a great weekend!

Connor's Big Boy Room

In anticipation of baby girls arrival in April we moved Connor into a larger room, which we have been calling his "big boy" room! He is still in his crib, we don't think he is ready for a toddler bed yet, nor are we! We chose a sports theme for his room and he is loving it!

Trip To California

We took Connor to California one more time before he turned 2, we will have to buy him a seat once he turns 2! We had a great time and Connor even got to shovel the snow we got while we were gone when we got home!

We of course took Connor to the beach and he loved it just as much as before. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop him from having a great time. He spent quite awhile chasing birds, which was entertaining for us all!

He finally wanted to play in the water and loved it. He loved running away from the water and then putting his foot in the residue from the water, quite funny!

Connor even got to ride the fork lift at Grandma and Grandpa's work.

Connor was lucky enough to go to Disneyland for the second time and he had a lot more fun this time. He was asking to go on rides and as soon as it finished he asked for "more!" We rode the rockets together as a family and it was quite a tight squeeze given my ever expanding belly!

Grandma and Connor in line for the Buzz Lightyear ride!

Grandma and Grandpa driving right behind Connor and daddy!

Our big boy riding the carousel all by himself!

I think I was more excited than Connor, but we even got to have our picture with Goofy, my favorite!

Connor was super excited to get his picture with Mickey Mouse, who he refers to as "Mick!"

Our trip was quick but it was a lot of fun, we were there to celebrate Grandpa's birthday and we got to see Greg's best friends, they've been friends for over 20 years, and a classmate from vet school!
